At Clint’s Lock and Key, we offer two additional levels of keyway security: deterrent systems and restricted systems.
What is the Deterrent System?
Utilizing your key itself as an extra added line of duplication protection, these keys come with the words “Do NOT Duplicate” directly on your key to deter unauthorized duplications of your key. This deterrent will deter most big box stores from duplicating this key if brought in without authorization proof.
What is the Restricted System?
Your highest line of defense against unauthorized key duplication. This keyway is restricted! It can NOT be duplicated without the proper authorization.
How is it restricted?
Each client is given a separate, unique, restricted keyway. A representative from the company will complete a signature card that will be kept on file for authorization of key duplication. Without the express consent of the authorized agent, a key will not be duplicated. Each request must be made by the authorized agent. A picture ID and signature will be verified before a duplicate key is made.
Can Restricted System keys be duplicated at another locksmith shop or big box store?
No. Our restricted system is patented solely to our company. Our keyway can not be duplicated at any other location. The key blanks are only available through our company.
Which level is the highest level of protection?
Our Restricted System provides the highest level of security and unauthorized keyway duplication restriction. While the Deterrent System is a great addition to your security, the Restricted System will give you full peace of mind.
